I was a little skeptical at first, because insurance sites can make things sound simple and then hit you with the fine print later. But with thimble, the eligibility details were actually clear right away. I could quickly figure out what kind of work they’d cover and what they wouldn’t, without feeling like I had to read between the lines.
The underwriting questions were straightforward too, which surprised me a bit. I kept waiting for some confusing catch or hidden detail, but nothing really came up. I didn’t have to call anyone just to understand the basics, so overall it ended up being a solid experience.

"Surprisingly easy, even though I was annoyed at first"
I had to file a claim after a small issue on a job, and I wasn’t looking forward to it at all. I figured it would be a hassle, and in some ways paperwork is never fun, but the whole thing ended up being smooth. They sent updates faster than I expected, and the payment came through quicker than I thought it would. I still wish I hadn’t needed to deal with a claim in the first place, but if you have to, this was a lot less painful than I expected.

I was having a bit of trouble figuring out the details of my policy, so I reached out to support. they got back to me quickly and explained everything in a way that actually made sense. It did take one extra message to fully clear things up, but overall they were helpful, friendly, and easy to deal with.

I liked that Thimble gave me a few ways to pay. Adding my card was quick, I was covered fast. The monthly payment option is helpful because I don’t always want to drop a big amount all at once. I’m giving it 4 stars only because I wish there were a couple more choices, like PayPal, and maybe a little clearer info before checkout. Overall though, it worked fine and I didn’t have any real problems
"Billing was exactly what I expected"
I was expecting at least some random fee or confusing charge to show up, but every bill has matched what I thought it would be. No weird surprises so far, which I really appreciate. Happy with it.

I had a question about my policy because I wasn’t totally sure I’d picked the right dates, because apparently reading my own selections is too much responsibility. I messaged support and they got back to me quickly, with no endless back-and-forth nonsense. They explained everything in normal human words and fixed it for me. Made the whole thing way less stressful than I expected. good experience overall.

I needed insurance info quickly for a small job, and Thimble made the whole thing surprisingly easy. The quote took maybe a couple minutes, and I didn’t have to deal with long forms or call anyone, which was a relief.
I was fully expecting it to be one of those annoying tasks that eats up half your day, but nope. It was simple, fast, and I got what I needed without any drama. Easy 5 stars from me.

I was kind of surprised by how many coverage choices Thimble Insurance had. Like, I thought this would be one of those quick “pick the only option and move on” situations, but nope, I actually had to sit there for a bit comparing things. Slightly annoying when you’re just trying to get covered and get back to work, but I’ll give them credit: the options were useful and made sense for my smaller jobs. Overall, good experience...

"Nice for month-to-month coverage"
I’ve liked using Thimble because I can get coverage one month at a time instead of committing to a full year, which makes a big difference for me. Setup was simple, and when I needed to make a change, it only took a few minutes. The price feels reasonable too. My only small complaint is that a couple of spots in the app could be worded a little more clearly.

It was easy to change my limits, easy easy once I figured out where everything was. There are good options, but it did take me a minute to understand how it all worked.

I needed to cancel my policy it went smoother than I expected. I just did it on the site in a few minutes, and I did not have to deal with long phone calls or any confusing steps. My only complaint is that the confirmation could have come through a little quicker.
